UNIFORMS: 

Gaston Youth Sports Association (GYSA) is now working with Gear Up Sports to supply uniforms for all of our teams. 

 

Why the change?  Gear Up Sports is a local company that has partnered with Nike to supply uniforms to youth sports teams at a reduced rate and help alleviate a time-consuming task of uniform ordering for youth sports organizations.  Using Gear Up Sports, GYSA can provide a higher quality uniform to our players at a comparable cost, while giving parents & players more control over uniform sizing.  Gaston Baseball, Softball and T-Ball teams are utilizing Gear Up Sports for uniforms during the 2022 season, with more sports using this service in future seasons.

 

Parents/Players are responsible for purchasing their uniforms directly from Gear Up Sports. As a result, GYSA registration fee has been adjusted to only cover the basic operations costs in order to accommodate the uniform cost.  *Hats will be provided by GYSA for all levels.*

 

Registration and uniform ordering are now done in two separate steps (registration and uniform ordering).  Parents will pay GYSA a registration fee and at a later date will purchase uniforms online through Gear Up Sports.  Information required to order uniforms is below as well as on the GYSA website at GastonYouthSports.com/uniform.  Parents are responsible for choosing sizes and the uniform will be shipped directly to your home or chosen shipping address.  Any sizing issues, fan gear and additional uniform purchases are done directly through Gear Up Sports.

Registration and Uniform Ordering Process:

  • Register your player online at GYSA website (https://www.gastonyouthsports.com)

  • Parents/Players will go to the Gear Up Sports website (https://gastongreyhounds.gearupsports.net/index.php?route=common/home), select their team on the landing page.  Once in the correct team, you will choose your players mandatory uniform pack. Note: Numbers are first come first serve and only available numbers will be shown.

    • On the jersey order form, put only the player’s LAST NAME in the Name box.

    • Hats are sized and distributed by GYSA and will be provided to the coach prior to the first game.

  • Once order is confirmed, the uniform will be shipped directly to the parent/player’s house in approximately 2-3 weeks. 

  • Returns are accepted if there is a misprint or error on the part of GearUp, and exchanges will be provided to correct the mistake.
